HealthyBaby Appoints Chief Marketing Officer

Meredith Gieskes most recently served as fractional chief commercial officer at Wave Bye

Baby and maternal care brand HealthyBaby has appointed Meredith Gieskes as its chief marketing officer. Gieskes brings nearly two decades of experience building consumer brands at the intersection of parenting, women’s health, beauty and wellness, with early leadership roles at Birchbox and Maven Clinic and most recently served as fractional chief commercial officer at Wave Bye. In this new role, Gieskes will lead integrated marketing, education, community and brand storytelling for HealthyBaby, reporting to president Stephanie Davis Michelman and CEO and founder Shazi Visram.

“Meredith has spent her career building brands that earn trust and turning meaningful ideas into movements,” says Visram. “She understands both the power of an exceptional product and the importance of giving people a reason to believe in it. HealthyBaby has a mission worth telling the world about, and Meredith has lived that mission as a mother herself. She is the right person to bring that story to more parents and families.”

Gieskes joins HealthyBaby at a pivotal stage of growth. The brand grew more than 60% in 2025 and welcomed more than 50,000 new customers, driven largely by product- and mission-led word of mouth. With that momentum established, HealthyBaby is investing in a more scaled marketing engine to expand awareness, strengthen its community and bring its products and philosophy to more families. This next phase will also build on HealthyBaby’s continued education and advocacy efforts, including its recent co-sponsorship of transparency policies like California Assembly Bill 1901, which would require diaper brands to disclose all intentionally added ingredients.

“Consumers have more choices and information than ever, but they are also being fed more marketing language than ever,” says Gieskes. “As a mother, I know how much parents want to feel confident that they understand exactly what they are putting on and around their babies. The brands that earn lasting trust from parents are the ones that have a genuinely good story to tell – and tell it honestly and authentically. That is what excites me about HealthyBaby. We have thoughtful products, a mission that matters, and an opportunity to help more families understand why. Parents deserve more than products that are simply safe; they deserve products intentionally designed to support their baby’s health and development.”

With Gieskes at the helm of marketing, HealthyBaby will focus on deepening its connection with parents and communities, amplifying trusted voices and making education and empowerment central to how the brand engages families, while continuing to scale across retail and direct-to-consumer channels. This includes reaching parents earlier in their journey through HealthyBaby’s maternal health expertise, while also helping elevate the brand as it expands into new categories. Her appointment marks a new chapter for HealthyBaby as it works to bring its mission to more families and redefine what parents should expect from the products they choose during the earliest and most formative years of life.
